So we've headed east, making sure to remain well south of San Francisco International. We Called up Oakland International and got permission to pass through their airspace by flying directly over the end of their main runway (Not as weird as it may sound, the ends of a major runway are actually some of the safest places for small planes to transition across because you know the big planes are going to be on the ground at that location). This is a shot looking Eastward towards Mt. Diablo and Hayward (where Julie's first flight took place). That cloud had quite inconveniently placed itself immediately on the final approach path to OAK, and was making their life difficult.
